Four women, connected by friendship and a knack for solving mysteries in the Cotswolds and beyond.

Dotty Sayers

An observant and hardworking trainee antiques expert.

Young and recently widowed, Dotty moves to the Cotswolds for a fresh start. Working at a local auction house, she builds her knowledge of antiques and learns to trust her own judgement, gaining the confidence to investigate puzzling crimes. At home, she has the companionship of her cat, Earl Grey.

Keya Varma

A community police officer who loves to bake.

Keya is an enthusiastic junior police officer who dreams of opening her own cafe. Quick-thinking and observant, she balances her rural duties with solving local mysteries. At home, she enjoys trying new recipes and baking cakes and trays of brownies.

Georgina Carey

An antiques expert with a taste for travel.

After her husband’s death, Georgina steps away from her family’s auction business in search of a fresh start. Working and travelling abroad, she combines her expertise in antiques with her curiosity and determination to solve a series of puzzling mysteries.

Mama Rose Hardie

A silver-haired community vet with a practical approach to solving mysteries.

Rose cares for animals in Nanyuki, Kenya, and supports her disabled husband, Craig. Some clients even pay her in fruit and vegetables. Practical and observant, she draws on her local knowledge and friendships to investigate puzzling deaths.

A Cozy Author Update: New Cozy Mysteries Coming in 2026

As we enter a new year, I’d like to thank you for being part of this community, for reading my books, and for enabling me to keep writing new stories. I am planning another busy year of content, starting with six new books. Three will be set in the Cotswolds and feature our favourite detective duo, Dotty and Keya, along with their friends and colleagues.
